Dont know if its just me, or if SOE actually did something. But was logged in this morning before the patch with XU just fine.

Now after servers have come back up, EQ2 complains about client version if running XU.

Hi I am new here. I just baught a premium subscription around 4:00 EST, its now 4:30 and I have all the plugins and such installed, when I go to run it and hit "launch" it seems to work, but when I hit "Play" i get some kind of error 404 then it launches some kind of screen with little Xs floating around. What is the deal?

Go under options "I THINK" and make sure your launching eq 2 and not a demo of something :D

Yep thanks that fixed it. By default it was openign some Direct X test. That was the screen with Xs floating everywhere. Now, if only I can figure out how to get the map thing and the crafting thing to work. I'll search around for a "HOW TO" thread for those 2

install both

then in game move the mouse to the bottom of the game screen

to interract with them, put up a persona window behind the plugins.

I figured out that much so far. But once I get the plugins up and running, I cannot figure out how to utilize them. By browsing the forums I figured out that I had to put up the persona window behind a plugin to manipulate it, but I still wish I had some instructions on what to do.

1) I would like to learn how to utilize the crafting plugin. I go to a station, put up the persona window, start up the plugin, double click the station, and from there I pretty much get lost. I try setting up a config by clicking config and clicking "fuel" which I guess means coal in my case. Then I click "Iron Bar" and try to craft 10 or so just for a test . So I hit "Start Crafting" but I can't figure out how to get it to start, he just stands there. Once I do get him to start, I wonder how to get those buffs to work. So far, it says "Paused" until I put my mouse inside the little circle, at which point it says "Follow the On Screen Instructions exactly" .... but of course there ARE NONE.

2) for the Map plugin, I just cant figure out how to get mobs to show up. Or anything, really.

1) Make sure your using the DEFAULT ui for tradeskills and you need to click the fuel in the RECIPE screen not the bag/case :D
