how do i use the macro please help : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

ok im new at this stuff and dont know what to do please help me out so any one got any ideas or what should i do please im goin carzy doin this tradeskill day in day out ahhhhhh

i tryed that i still cant get it to work i dont know where to download stuff to and where to put it im sorry but i need step by step inst and where to get all the downloads i need and where to put then and how to put them there im not good at comp just playing games lol

Well its perty well summed up in that one post on what to do.

First you should download actools:

Next download this file to your desktop:

Next download htis file to your desktop:

Unzip The first file to C:\hotkeys (The directory probably won't be there so just create it)

Unzip the second file to EQ2\UI directory ( most likely its c:\programfiles\sony\eq2\ui)

If you have trouble finding it seach for it with your explorer (Hit your windows key between the CNTL and ALT keys and hit E)

Then follow the post that I told you about located here (7th post down, posted by akanon)

thx for trying to tell me what to do to make it work but i still cant figure it out im realy comp dumd i dont know how to do all that stuff i dont know what those c;\program things are or how to use them any way is ther any way u can please put a tradeskill macro together for me so all i have to do is download it and play please please please iv tryed everything u said to do and i cant get it i almost messed my game up once lol but it all good now thx for ur help

short version: no. If the above instructions are too complex for you, then your needs are frankly beyond the scope of this forum. Enroll in a computer literacy class at your local community college. An English class wouldn't kill you either.

Sorry marshall, not much more I can do for ya. In order to set these up you need basic computer knowledge. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you will have to get a friend or something in Real Life to set it up for you beyond this.

ok guys i had a guy from a comp store come and do this for me and he cant figur it out and now my tradeskill icons are all messed up half of the little squares r normal and the other half is ether blue green or red and i cant move my tradeskill window and well is just all messed up what do i do to fix it please help i cant do any tradeskilling now please hurry

Thats what there suppost to look like if you installed it correctly. Just put the 3 tradeskill counters you want to use in your main hotbar in slot 1, 2 and 3. Goto Hotkeys folder and open recipies.dat file with notepad.. put in there the exact name of the recipies u want to create. Save it then open TradeSkill in the same folder, change how many times you want it to loop, click the crafting station u want to use, put yourself in first person view and click start..
