I'm a newbie to all this stuff. : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

Ok, I downloaded harvest bot 4.01 for eq2. I have no idea what I am doing though. I look at the code and I don't understand it, iI read what is in sentences but don't know what files I am sposed to change or where to put them. I am utterly clueless. If anyone out there can give me a step by step walkthrough from after the download and up to how to run it in the game, I would really appreciate it. Like I said I am very new. Any assistance appreciated.

Is it an AC Tool macro? If so, you need ACTool (google for it). Some also require a special UI. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with that particular bot, so I don't know.

Can anybody link or tell me where to get EQ2 service pack by wyvern X? I cant find it, the downloads page is not working and the link in the harvester step by step is not working.

I'm right there with you dude...completely clueless about what I'm doing. If I'd known I needed to be a computer guru, I'd have saved my money and harvested the old fashioned way. For instance, I'm supposed to download Xunleashed client, download harvest bot, copy and paste a file that I cannot find, into "C:/Xunleashed/Scripts" which I also cannot find. Then I'm supposed to download EQ2 service, but the link does not work. I'm supposed to be able to "move my mouse to the bottom of my screen, and a window will pop open"...have yet to see any window. Then I read a forum where people are asking "when is this going to work with EQ2?"....so does it work with EQ2 or am I wasting my time? I have no clue. I am a Noob, Newb, Newbie...and the most frustrating thing, is that I see people stating that they are noobs, asking for help, some of these posts are from June, with no response. It's like me explaining the crafting process to my sister, who has never heard of EQ2. Very frustrating over all. .....I miss my $20.....

My harvest bot guide if there are any questions let me know. (Bear in mind though, I didn't write any of these programs and I'm just a member like you.)

There is one thing you'll need to know to start:

What is your primary hard drive? Usually this is C: if you're not sure open up "My Computer" (it should be on your desktop. You should see icons labeled "Local Disk (X: )" What ever is in the parenthesis is your hard drive. Make a note of this, if it is not "C" substitute whatever you have instead.


First download X-Unleashed. http://www.xunleashed.com:7000/XUnleash ... eashed.exe When you click on the preceding link you will be prompted to save or run the file, select "Save". On the left hand side of the window click "My Computer" then double click "Local Disk (C: )" Towards the top of the "File download" window you will have an icon that looks like a file folder with a kind of red star. Click that. You will now have a brand new folder to name, call it "xunleashed". The file will save.

Go back to your "My Computer" window and double click the "Local Disk (C: )". Look for the folder we created called "xunleashed". Inside you should find only one icon called "XUnleashed.exe" Double click it. It will now download the necessary files from taultunleashed.com this will take a few minutes even on a fast connection. Once it finishes click "Lauch". You will get a notification that the application is not registered. Click "Ok". Go to the "Registration" tab. Enter the information for your account and the registration code you received from here. http://www.xunleashed.com:81/ForceUpdate.ASP then press "Verify Registration". You should get a confirmed message. Click "Ok" on that. Now go to the "Options" tab. Browse down to "EverQuest II" and select that. Put a check in the "Windowed" box. Click the "X" at the upper right hand corner to close the window.

Now you need the EQ2 Service, download it here. http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpbb2/download.php?id=56 You will have the options to "Save" or "Run" select "Run" this will launch the installer. Click "Install". You will get another confirmation message, again click "Ok".

At the time of writing the HarvestBot was at 4.02 if that is still the latest release, go here http://www.taultunleashed.com/phpBB2/do ... php?id=897 . Save this to a folder you create on your "C:" drive labeled "Tmp". Once the download completes open up the "Tmp" folder. Right click on the "HarvestBot.402.ZIP" and select "Extract All". Click "Next" until it extracts, the button will now say "Finish", make sure there is a check in the "Show extracted files" check box, then click "Finish". You will now have 2 files and a folder showing, select all three and copy them. Browse to the C:/xunleashed folder and open the folder here called "Scripts". Paste them in.

Now there is one final step. Open the file labeled "HarvestBot_v402.ini" Read the instructions located in the file assistance with configuring the bot. The most important items that I remember here were:

1. Change "DeleteMe = True" to "DeleteMe = False"

2. Hotbar = 1 (Here make sure that which ever Hotbar has your harvesting abilities on it is numbered correctly.)

3. [YourCharacterName]

4. Server = Your Server Name

5. Setup the whatever hot bar you defined earlier with the following abilities on the coresponding keys.

Gathering 1
Foresting 2
Mining 3
Trapping 4
Fishing 5
Collecting 6

Run the bot (Should I add instructions for this?)
