Possible to use script such as Harvestor for ROI? : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

Just wondering how probable it would be to make a script that would stay at that spawn site for the Robe of the Invoker rock and click it when it spawns. I would think it could be as easy have setting up a harvest bot to just stand there, and wait til the rock pops. Anyone have any ideas on this? Watcher's bot would prolly work nicely with it, we would just need the name of the actual rock clicky. And also a config in the script for the inspect command, if that is possible.

I'm not familiar with this spawn, got a link I can read up on it? As far as activating the rock (attackign?) it could be done easily and would not require a mouse. My partially complete TravelBot would probably be more suited to this.

Yup I have already wrote one for that in AutoIt, have 9 confirmed middle of the night lewts thanks to the script. It is a simple grid pattern of mouse double clicks that is a endless loop with a pause feature. Nothing fancy but effective. When I get home I will post it if Watcher won't make fun of me running around in a tent for 2 hours with his script anymore...

It's funny some of my guild members (well alot of them) won't use scripts because they say it will take away from the fun but they had no problem using that script to avoid sitting there aimlessly staring at the ground.

If there is a way to get an ID off this rock and have some supreme code writer make it so as soon as it pops you Dbl click or something to get it that would a much better way. As it is with mine if some fucktard sits down in front of you you will just start dbl clicking on him. Eight times out of ten you won't have camp crashers but there are some out there.

You'd have to use another method to get the ID- its not static, its a spawn, which means it will just take the next ID number avalible. Now, if a if you knew the name of the node, you could probably compare the name of every new spawn in range to the name your camping, as soon as you get a match, do your apply_verb (the ID, which XU would have to provide) (the verb- again, I don't know it, but the default verb is sent with the spawn packet....somthing else Wy would have to build in. If theres more than one possible verb, the optional verbs get sent once the client requests them (triggered by you targeting it, or rightclicking it if its not targetable....although such items usualy only have 1 verb anyhow- the default one).

Also I was using this script and got the primer Monday night (yay me) so I have the log file of getting it, is there anything in the log file that would help in making a better script for this?

OH and for you goof ballz that show up at lvl 30 thinking you can sneak in and lewt the primer you have to be lvl 40 to even inspect the rock so get da fook outa my camp! (grumbles damn lvl 27 orges)

How long did it take you get get your spawns? And where you sitting in the roots or on the wall next to the tree.

I had a toon sitting there 4 days and got it. I knew right when the last one spawned as a guild member got that one and normally it is a 3-4day spawn but have waited as long as 6 days. I have 4 of these now.

You always want to be sitting in the roots (or someone will plop down there and take camp).

Watcher this is a rock that spawns on the ground. You have to be lvl 40 to even con. it. When you click on it you get a tattered robe and upon examining it you get the primer for the Robe of the Invoker. When I get home I will dig the log text out from when I got it last.

Ahh 3 day spawn time that seems to suck if servers are constantly reseting. Thanks for the info. Yeah that tree gets crowded at time i think i saw like 8 people sitting around it the other day.

Rock timer doesn't seem to be affected byt server resets.

Its possible- but my first instinct would be to belive that the other player was trying to convince me to give up so he could take over my camp....

I was told by a nother player that the rock no longer spwans after this past update, its only a chest drop now. Can anyone conferm?
