site related request : EverQuest 2 General Discussions

alot of posts are
1) not techincaly an exploit
2) too short to be considered a guide, or are not a guide as much as an uncommented list of data
3) in no way tradeskill or macro related
4) too specific to be sent to general discussion

I know theres already alot of categories in this sub-forum; however, I think perhaps a 'tips and tricks' category would be in order- things like the post I just stuck in 'guide discussion' for lack of a better place (http://www.tault.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=8084) would fit nicely. For stuff that can be found on other sites, including the official SOE boards, as well as things that are really reference material rather than guides. (ie. command lists, faction lists, etc etc)

Agreed. I put this forward to Admin a long while ago but he never got around to it. I'll get in touch with him again.

I think it'd be nice- but I also recognize the desire to avoid having too many subcategories- which you already have LOTS of...so really a judgment call on your part. Just a sugestion, from one admin to another.

[edit] OR- in the guides section- add a drop down selection that gets appended to the subject- 'guide' 'tips' 'reference matieral' etc. so the post would appear as [guilde]Leveling your Soandso or [Reference] All / commands...etc [/edit]

Yeah not a bad idea. Although i doubt anything like that would be put in as of yet. With the merger so close (better believe it ) theres not much point trying to fix up this forum.
