I hate you... so much.

You nerf the crafting systems so people -CAN'T- make profit from crafting unless selling to other people.

You find all the exploits and nerf them within 5 hours.

You people are making it IMPOSSIBLE to make any kind of cash except by adventuring/hunting.

In conclusion....

I hate you... so much.

I tottaly agree with you pure, they SUK in more ways than one, UP URS SONY.

Actually I disagree with you. The Abulity to make large amounts of Platinum from nothing would eventually cause hyperinflation and destroy the economy. I was able to make a Platinum an hour selling to merchants. It was great in the short term (for me) but that sort of Platinum being bought into the game forever has to be stopped.

Give it time.. and prices of resources sold will drop. You might even find you can come close to breaking even selling to merchants.

My Tradeskill toons have more then 360 levels between them.. so this prob affects me more then you, but you have to take the long view of what is good for the game.

Just the fact that "hunters" (for lack of a better term) are the only ones bringing any real money into the economy burns me up. I mean, look at Ultima Online which has been around for AGES. Their crafters make good ammounts of money just crafting. Yes, it takes time and effort, but it's VERY rare to find ANYTHING that actually looses money while turning raw materials into a finished product. I mean, come on... when a T4 item is sold back to mercants for a measly handfull of copper? Thats just rediclious.

by the way dude, you do know that if you make a complete item (say an iron longsword, stilletto, short sword) it will actually sell for less (1.5sp) than the blade, hilt, and crossgaurd right? i make tons of money just crafting small items like this for merchant trash, espescially when i come in with all RAW materials and craft from scratch. i make all my items from base other than fuels, and i can still make a good ammount. by the way, one way to lower the market price on goods and still make a profit is by looking at prices, then selling your items for half price of everything else. chances are that someone will buy them up pronto. i know i do whenever i see such a deal. i can usually sell it back for twice as much. also guys, this is probably the most INSANE thing you are ever going to hear. anyone ever check brokers for the price of shards (ie pristine, glowing, or enchanted)? i can usually buy a FULL SET of them for about 7-21 silver, then sell it back for 70 silver- 1 gold. i made about half a platnium in a day doing this before the broker ran out of cheap shards, but in the end it was more than worth it

This is the exact logic that causes crafters NOT to make money. I sell my crafted good for a reasonable profit, Richard A sells it for half my price, Richard B sells it for half Richard A's price, richard C sells it for half Richard B's price, every idiot sees Richard's Cs price and assume that is the set or standard market price (because they are idiots and dont know any better). Now I am forced to lose money by selling at Richard Cs price because everyone wants it for that price. I lose interest in crafting till the idiot quit and a few weeks later things go back to normal.

HALFing the existing prices constantly causes everyone problems.
In short, dont be like the Richard's and undercut everyone so much to make a short term gain..... or.....i.o.w. Don't be a !@#$%^&*

What are you talking about? First off Shards do not come in Enchanted, and are you referring to a FULL SET of Shards AND BONES? And are you meaning you then do the collection quest and get the rewarded item, then SELL IT on your merchant to other players?

doh, wrong thing, i was thinking of shiny shards i think (correct me if im wrong). what you do is go buy a set of them for bargain price (say pristine shards for a silver or so, i have 4 sets cause of this right now), then go out in say thundering steppes/nektulos forest OOC and say your selling the SET of them. reason for not turning it in yourself is you can only do it once. however, you should have a braclet of your own to link to people so they see its value. if the people dont know where to turn in collection quests tell them where to turn them in for your city. dont wory if people dont jump at the sets, some days are slower than others. like today i didnt make any sales, but the day before i made 10 gold selling these. also, if people dont like the price, lower it some. i have gone as low as 60 silver, but as i only paid 6 silver for the set, i still make a large profit
