You can either gather these resources, or just buy them from the broker.

The reward is 48 silver (very nice) reward.

I have made several gold in 10 minutes just by running up and down to the broker to buy these supplies.

Just curious as to what level your society is? The broker I use doesn't carry any of these items.

Could you also post which society you're in and what your standing is in it? I'd like to figure out why some of us don't see the items.

The broker is not buying from the NPC at the top of the stairs.

The broker is the guy downstairs. You can buy items from him that are sold by players using the market board placed in their house.

WHen you say tier 1 quests, tier 2 quests and tier 3 quests...what exactly does that mean? I do these quests, and i assume they are tier 1 because i get about 14s in return. How do i ask for a tier 3 quests, or is it that I need to do more quests so I personally can get tier 2 quests, or what? Thanks. Im still new to artisan stuff.

It is based off of your player level.

Ie from level 1-9 you get teir 1 quests (roots, elm, tin, etc)

From level 10-19 you get teir 2 quests (maple, turquois, iron, etc)

From Level 20-29, you get teir3, etc.

Teir 1 = 4 silver
Teir 2 = 12 silver
teir 3 = 48 silver
etc

Teir 3 stuff is like:

agate, carbonite, belladona root, etc.

See the harvesting thread for full items for each teir.

In Qeynos tradeskill instances the broker is at the top of the stairs, and the wholesaler is at the bottom.

1. Teir quests are given by the NPC in the crafting zone.

2. Head to The Coalition of Tradesfolk (upstairs), in North Freeport. (or is it West, i forget).

does buying the item still work???

i'm lvl 22 and have to collect 15 average quality pelts (lvl 20+ mobs) and i noticed that the quest ONLY Updates IF i win the lottery for the pelt.

HOW are you guys finishing your quests by buying the supplies only?

i'm getting this task from the wholesaler NPC at the top of crafting instance in Longshadow - Dark Bargainers.

OR are these differenct quests that i have to go and get from West Free Port?

Yes, if you can buy it from a broker, it is the same as gathering the item.
