php and mysql are friggin easy...hehe...I haven't figured out how people run these sites and never figure out how to use either...I don't understand why they would need to higher a programmer...
Christ I have written a full blown prepaid calling system for a company I work for...

Hire me LOL...be done in a day sheesh

Edit: school computer messed up post

If you CAN do it in a day why don't you talk to admin and see about the format the forums are in, these aren't your standard phpbb forums you know.

Doesn't matter what format the forums are in...I used to run PHPbb...nothing amazing or groundbreaking on the way it works...If the admin wants to send me the problem he is having I am free Friday to make it work for him...until Friday I am making a windows front end for work to control their gatekeeper... Some of the mods on both sites look like they are probably mods of other mods that were already written for phpbb...and a few that may have been custom written...
Basically just need the phpbb from both sites in a zip and the layout of both databases in a dump...(Don't need the data)

What their trying to do really has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with phpbb. These 2 forums are so heavily modded the only phpbb is its very core. Sure, its not exactly rocket science trying to move 2 huge databases into one. But its long, and its tedious.
No doubt though, it has taken a lot longer than it had ment to do. The hired programmer was more of a friend to admin, and he therefore was a lot lazyer. Dates were missed, communication was miss interpreded.
Now i was told it was to happen yesterday, obviously there was another hiccup. Sh!t happens.
I'll keep you updated.

Hmm - shouldn't 'higher' be 'hire', and shouldn't that post be split into 5 sentences rather than one?
Last I checked, most programming languages are case sensitive, require variables to be spelled correctly, and must have proper syntax in order to compile properly.
Of course, I may be wrong.

LOL...I know you never make typos...and always use proper punctuation in your forum posts. And I do know how to spell hire...as seen in the last sentence...But I was stating a fact. I don't care what you think. I know how much I get paid a year to do what I do. I also know this was not an incredible undertaking to merge the two forums. There just wasn't anyone with the knowledge to do it I suppose.
