EQ2 crafter, has this program been abandoned? : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

i loved eq2crafter the first time i saw it, i enjoyed it's usefulness for a few weeks, after i figured out how to get it set up and running all seemed well. promises of upgrades (not major, just simple things like profile saves) kept me coming to the forum every day.

as the time has progressed however, i have never seen one response to anyone's ideas toward improvements, let alone fixes to bugs or quirks that seem to pop up after a while. i don't see many responses to posts other than the cut and paste 'run it in windowed mode, lock all screens, keep persona up etc... but nothing about any improvements or fixes even in the works. we paid decent money for this, it has been downloaded over 3500 times. i would like to know what improvements or fixes are in development.. i keep an eye on evercraft, an alternate product i considered getting at the time i chose xunleashed. that program has become so packed wth features and improvements it is seeming like i made a wrong choice. please let us know what is n the works for this program, when you are going to implement things you added to the interface 3 months ago. i have nay to see any effort go to this macro since i started using it 2.5 months ago.

No, it is not.

A new update will come out soon with alot of fixes.

Working on getting the scripting API up for it so that it can be configured differently by different people.

It still works fine.

Yeah the new features would be nice, but hey, Wyvernx is a busy man. He'll get to it when he can. Why fix what isnt broken?

And um we paid money for XUnleashed- not the crafter, which is a plugin. XUnleashed is being updated constantly. Wyvernx made the crafter plugin as a gift to us- not a service. Plus, he continually provides tech support for it.

As far as cut and pasting of the run in windowed mode, ect- not everyone actually reads the whole forum posts. And it provides good info. Mine went goofy all of a sudden and then I read the post about windowed mode. I had been running in full screen with no problems. I switched to windowed and presto- fixed. Don't overlook the fact that what may be obvious to you may not be to another person.

I agree, we need an update for this, but I'm content to wait without b--ching about it.

Just chill. Wyvernx hasnt forgotten us.

Or you could go back to crafting without using a crafter macro...

thanks for the response wyv. the plugin actually doesn't always work well after you have been online for a while (with days going between server resets this has become apparent to me, and i have quite a bit of trouble using ot to make my subs, which i craft as crude (take a crude teak lumber for example and try to change it into a quill, i find that unless it hits that sweet pattern, it fails more than 50% of the time on ave for me. it keeps trying to click repeat/begin while the counters are being ignored as well as the x every tick. one of the reasons i think prolonged use may come into play is i notice xunleashed leaves a copy of launchpad in tsr after you log in, where eq would remove it. if you restart eq2 say 5 times with the play button on x-unleashed, take a look, you will see 5 launchpads running while you are only in 1 instance of eq2.

this wasn't meant to be a slam, in fact i posted this once in the plug-in forum under eq2crafter a few weeks back and it was recently deleted, so maybe it sounded as a harsh post. but it didn't get an answer there and wasn't moved.
