Edited the whole post...

Working like a charm on a guardian/cleric duo. Unbelieveable what you can do with the Combatresponse sequencestr to do heroic opportunities.

"a starter chain" triggers the HO and maked the bot cast the advancement spell
"triggered xxx" makes it cast the right spell to finish the HO, depending on the HO that was triggered (divine blade, crippling shroud, divine nobility in the case of a fighter/cle duo)

Amazing piece of work, thanks for sharing this.

Huston we have a problem....

Looks like they broke the eq2 service again. Max helath and Max power must have changed again....

Bot will just keep healing over and and over.

I set the following variables to 0 and it works. Obviously no auto-healing or anything. PercentHealth, PercentPower, HealPercentSTR and StopFightingPowerSTR. Sucks too since the freakin EQ2 service was just fixed... Damn Sony... Damn you!!!

edit: I got it running by changing just HealPercentSTR to 0. I didn't really have time to test it to make sure everything else is working. When my son take a nap I'll reply again if something else doesn't seem to be working. Damn and I was really digging the auto heal.

I had to set the HealPercentSrt to -20000.
Patners health reported -17000, and at 0 bot still said health was below this.

Thanks for the feedback - love to hear good stuff, a LOT of hours went into this bot so I'm glad people are using it.

Post some of you Respond Strings (w/o anything specific to your char of course) to show others how you are using it.

This bot is great - by far the best I've seen. I use it with my shaman and it works great. One problem I have though is that it will not detect my wards wearing off and automaticaly recast then. I have 'spectral ward fades' in the combat area where gnoll master strike and the others are listed but it doesn't seem to resond. Is there another area in the script where I need to enable this in combat automated responce? Right now I just have to use group buff command to have ward recasted. Thanks again and lets see how you guys are using the reactives.

Set up a combat response seq for the text that displays when it wears off.

example:
what ever it says when ward wears off,q2,whatever ward,3,2s,20s

edit:

or setup the ward as the first cast heal. When you hit whatever % the bot is set to heal it will drop a ward then heal you with the next spell in line. Once you go down to that % again assuming the ward is up it will cast it again then heal you.

Rich, yesterday's patch should have fixed it.

Guardian / Templar Combat response string example:

CombatResponseSequenceSTR=distract,qb4,Distract,6,1s,900s,NONE,hits a skel,qb3,Skeleton Master Smite,5,2s,60s,TARGET,a starter chain,qb1,Minor Healing,8,2s,4s,TARGET,triggered divine blade,qb3,Smite,3,2s,3s,TARGET,triggered crippling shroud,qb3,Combatative faith,7,2s,15s,TARGET,triggered Divine Nobility,qb1,Minor healing,8,3s,9s,TARGET

Some info :

The 'distract' is there to cast a distract spell when the bot gets aggro. It's a hotbutton pushed on the leading character's comp with '/tell templar distract' on it.

'a starter chain' detects when the main character (guardian) pushes the heroic opportunities button. The Templar will cast a small heal to advance and trigger a combo HO. At that time you push the ability to further advance the HO (in case of my guardian this could be a slam). This will trigger the last stage of the HO, that has to be finished by the bot.
In this specific fighter/healer combo, there are 3 posibilities as outcome for the last stage of the HO:
Divine Blade, Crippling Shroud or Divine Nobility.
The bot sees the message, starting with 'triggered ... and then one of these 3 posibilities, and will cast the right spell to finish the combo HO.
Divinde blade is finished with a 'Smite' on qb3, button 3
If it's crippling Shroud, it is finished with 'Combatative faith' on qb3, button 7
In case of the last possibility 'divine nobility', this combo is finished by casting a 'minor healing' on qb1, button 8.
I use these lesser spells to save power, but other spells with the same HO-icon are ok as well.

This way, the bot misses like 20% of the HO's, probably because of battlespam, or the right spell not being ready at the moment it has to be cast, but that is more than fair enough. It's a good idea however to use the spells with the shortest casttimes to finish the HO before time runs out.
3 player combo's should be doable this way as well, but I'm afraid the responsetime isn't fast enough to finish a 3-stage HO within the given time.

A suggestion of a feature that would be a lot of help :

Passing a commandstring that would be treated as /doability 'commandstring that was passed' or /commandstring on the bot's side. This would make it possible to cast spells that are not on a quickbar, or a way to make the bot assist me, target me, invite me, disband, zone out etc. Would save a lot of trouble setting up the 2 toons because the computers are in different rooms and I have to run back and forth a couple of times before everything is set up.

Keep up the good work, I can't wait for the hunterbot to arrive...

I made this up tonight for my Druid / Summoner combo

You advance Celestial Bloom,qb1,Bloom,4,2s,4s,TARGET,You advance Suffocating Wrath,qb1,chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET,You advance Arcane Chalice,qb1,Bloom,4,2s,4s,TARGET,triggers a starter chain,qb1,chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET

This works really well. The summoner starts the HO. Then the Druid cast Chill. The Summoner casts Dust Blast. Depending on the HO the Druid cast either chill or bloom.

However with my main characters Shadowknight / Defiler I can't find much to do with them. I did experimenting and they just don't have many spells that line up together in a HO.

I also use a Belkin game pad though to record macros and stuff to. I have 6 hot keys for differant HO's my tank does. It's pretty sweet. Makes playing super easy.

Man I can't wait for the hunter bot.... Oh man.

Richy- I was thinking to have a thinking it might be nice to have a pet buff command similar to the hit me up command. Right now with my Druid / Summoner combo I use hit me up to recast spirit of the wolf and needleshield on me when I say hit me up. I can't figure out a way to reliably recast the same buffs on my pet. I set up response strings but I have to have the pet targeted so it doesn't really work most often.

I revised some of my Druid / Summoner Combat response and made a simple one for my Shadowknight / Defiler. It's pretty impressive and works almost 100% of the time.

Druid / Summoner Combat Response

Code: Select all

CombatResponseSequenceSTR=You advance Celestial Bloom,qb1,Bloom,4,2s,4s,TARGET,You advance Suffocating Wrath,qb1,chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET,You advance Arcane Chalice,qb1,Bloom,4,2s,4s,TARGET,Master's Name triggers a starter chain,qb1,chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET,HO Please,qb1,Divine Providence,0,1s,10s,TARGET,You trigger a starter chain,qb1,Stinging Swarm,2,2s,5s,TARGET,You triggered Inspiring Piety,qb1,Chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET,You triggered Divine Judgment,qb1,Chill,3,2s,6s,TARGET
I'll explain the way it works.

1st it is programed to do a cooperative HO and a HO all by itself.

The first one still works the same as I discribed above. The summoner starts the HO. Then the Druid cast Chill. The Summoner casts Dust Blast. Depending on the HO the Druid cast either chill or bloom.

Next I had made a hot key with my summoner of HO Please. The Druid will then cast Divine Providence. Next it will cast Sufficating Wrath. Last it casts Chill for which ever HO is triggered.

Defiler / Shadowknight

Code: Select all

CombatResponseSequenceSTR=HO Please,qb1,Divine Providence,0,1s,10s,TARGET,You trigger a starter chain,qb1,Contamination,5,1s,8s,TARGET,You triggered Inspiring Piety,qb1,Vile Imprecation,8,2s,3s,TARGET,You triggered Divine Judgment,qb1,Vile Imprecation,8,2s,3s,TARGET
This one isn't cooperative as I'm having a hard time finding a combo that works well together with the two.

Works pretty much the same way. You recieve a tell from a master of HO Please. Start by castng Divine Providence. Followed by Contamination. And completed with Vile Imprecation for which ever HO.

Ah well back to playing :D

If I read it right, you are wanting to cast a Ward on different individuals and have it cast on them again when it wears off? It really can't do it that way. What you can do is cast a ward on the main tank (who you have setup as FightPartner) and then keep that one active using the response sequences.

I am a Shaman also, and use my Group ward to do this and use the Combat Response Strings to keep it on.
