Hi guys :) I'm already a member, but here's one to play with...

Remember swimming practice in EQ1? Hit numlock, head for a wall, go afk. Come backa efw hours later, swimming's maxxed. I decided to try that in EQ2...

Try this: Go to Ardent Needle in Antonica, swim practice in the moat. Face toward the castle and downward. The goal is to find a spot where you won't move/slide along the walls so that you could go afk. (btw, I'm a mage, water breathing included. Might need an stone/earring/shard for this). Find that spot and *poof*

'(Error Text) [BUG] You have been teleported to a safe location in the zone, because you apeared to have fallen through the world.'

So, the question becomes, where can you find to do it, and how easily/well. Just did a test pass in Antonica in the moat, hit a spot and got ported in under 30 seconds (I was expecting it to take a bit longer, heh).

I suppose one possible use would be for hopping across a zone full of agro, just have to learn where the various Safe Points are in the zone.

(I've done this before in TS... and now I'm thinking about JBoots, and whether there's a pond near the evac...)

Something to play with, enjoy :)

If you are in windowed mode, you can use the nerfed superjump trick to bypass most anything is your way, this will let you pass through closed doors and/or get ported to safe spot as often as you wish.

when was the last time you tested this, qavlae? Unless they just broke it (ie put it back in accidentaly), what your describing was nerfed some time ago.

I can assure you that I've used this at least twice in the last 3 days to bypass doors/walls as well as to zone into game geometry and bug a world fall through. I play in windowed by deafualt since I surf quite abit while playing.

I can confirm bypassing doors/walls works quite well in Acts of War, and I've also bugged a fall through CL,EL and Nek simply by using this to lag through terrain.

Well how about you give us those locations?

Naz, you can use this to bug into just about any geometry, jsut be careful how long you hold the windowed bar for as it can cause you to linkdead if held to long. The only detriment to using this for anything advantageous is that it take a good 20-30 seconds depending on your connection to bug through the game geometry.
