Get XP with grey T5 Provisioner recipes!! : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Hey all got a hot one here so get it while you can. I was grindinig some sub combines early this morning before work and much to my amazement I was getting xp for the grey recipes. At first I thought it was all of them but that was not the case so here is what I know so far. I was getting 1% per four combines. I took all combines to the 4th level of quality.

Refine saffron
refine pu-erh tea leaf
blowfish steak
wyrmm steak
lavastrom robusta bean
refine cardamom



Corn malt (does not work)

These were all I was able to check out so far. I am sure there are more. I am not sure what the cost per % of xp for T6 recipes is but this may be a cheaper alternative to get to 60.

This is a result of the big combat changes patch. They adjusted the con lvls of mobs and TS but didn't adjust the con color. This has been mentioned awhile back.

My guess is it is such a trivial issue it is low on their list. They should be a green-light green con not grey.

Even at lvl 55. I thought it was 10 levels below your level. Those are level 40 and 41 recipes.

At level 60, recepies are:

57+ white
45 - 56 blue
39 - 44 green


At level 40, recepies are:
38 - 40 white
30 - 39 blue
26 - 29 green

So it seems to be a % of your current skill level.

On grouping the rules are 6 level difference or 25% level difference whichever is greater. So a level 7 can join a level 12 player and get xp, and a level 40 player can group with a level 51 player and get xp. I believe the same ratios work for recipes, mobs etc.

Can't a level 40 person group with a elvel 53 person and get exp?

it's been holding true for my char who is level 34 ..

I can group with anyone that is my level / .75, and if I wish to find our how low elvle of a person can gorup with me and get exp, it is my level * .75

and for level 40, this means a level 30 will get exp with them, and they will get exp with a elvel 53.3333 so 53.
