Ive seen ppl sitting at Feerrott dock or in hidden away in lavastorm in a corner jsut harvesting with no nodes in front of them. I also notice nodes disapeering right in front of me. How is this done? This one of the downloads? or is it an exploit?

Its a simple distance offset hack. How long ago did you see this? The distance checks used to be mostly clientside, but they're almost all clientside with a serverside check when you try to actualy do somthing now. (ie. you can open the broker window from a given range determined and hackable clientside, but once you actualy request data from the server, the server does a distance check and will refuse if your out of range. You can see this behavior by going to a broker and inching further away- you'll find a range in which the client will open the broker window, but then when you do a serach, the window will close with a 'this target is no longer valid' response).

Oh, and that was a freebie- I don't normaly speak to people who can't be bothered to spell out an entire word, ('ne1 kno how?'. 'ppl'....) seriously- if you can't be bothered to type legibly, why the !@#$%^* should we be bothered to answer your questions?

taking shortcuts in-game is one thing- you only have so much time to type, and as long as the message is conveyed, its all good. However, when posting on a forum, you can at least make an effort to be understandable. No, my grammar isn't perfect, nor is my spelling. But you can at least try- posting an entire post without punctuation of any kind, spelling entirely by phonetics and 'acronyms' (yes, common ones like lol are fine, but there are limits- your not trying to cram a message into an IM on your tiny cellphone- you have at least 101 keys, and adequate space to post the entire word) just makes reading and understanding what your !@#$%^* point is difficult. Theres a preview button- try proofreading once in a while before hitting the Submit button.

Plus, the way people choose to write is almost always, in my experience, indicitive of what kind of person they are, and how mature they are. Thats why I choose in general to ingore them: when someone runs up and starts spamming me in-game with one or two word demands for somthing, in d00d speak, I can safely assume I know what type of player they are, and know that I want nothing to do with them. Likewise, a barely legible post demanding l33t sploitz (which this isn't- which is why I did reply- the poster was right on the line- his typing style was annoying to me personaly, but he wasn't unduly rude or demanding, so I answered him to the best of my ability) are almost always from children who by rights ought not even be here. Also, his post was by in large fine- I should have mentioned that I was put off before I even read the post by the "How? Ive seen it done.. any1 kno?" only visible from the category listing, not on the actual post page itself.

I may have overreacted, or at least over stated my case, for that I am sorry, but I stand by my opinions, and frankly, knowing I am not alone in feeling that way, was trying to help the guy out by pointing out why he may not always get the warmest reception- if you talk like a child, many of us will assume your a child, and treat you as such.

glad my topic was turned around into somthing retarded. i did that to shorten the amount of letters used so it would fit under the discription.

Ahh, that makes me warm and fuzzy on the inside.
