Ideas for faster lvling (Crafting) 30+ ? : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

ATM I have a 32 Carpenter, 30 Jewler and a 32 Alch (thanks Pickled) and have been lvling by just making stuff in bulk (i.e. the Alch makes tempers and resins in bulk so the Carpenter, Jewler has them to make their stuff in bulk). This worked well up to 30 and I could sell the extra temper/resins pretty easy but now that I am 30+ I am finding exp. gain is dropping off on them at 32 as where in the lower lvls it was 28 before I saw a significant exp. drop per item.

So I am wondering if I am going about power lvling the correct way. My goal is to get lvl 50 ASAP. I am more concerned with the "status" of being 50 rather than making cool stuff. That being said you guys that are above 30 and got there fast, what can you recomend to me as far as things to do that can be automated while I am AFK to get me to 50 in a hurry for my 3 class's.?

ATM this is what each class is doing

Alch 32: Mass Producing Granum Resin & Paeloith Temper

Carpenter 32: Mass producing Feyiron Bars - Next step is Feyiron stud, plate, sheet, struts

Jewler 30: Haven't got a plan on this one yet, seems to be the last one I update skill wise since it is on same account as my Alch.

Your input is greatly appreciated!

I know I got an Alchy to level 50 in about 4 weeks just pure pumping out Inks 24/7, unfortunately therse is no real AFK fast way to do it, unless you use the recipe selection part and load up on EVERY component for the "Discovery EXP" per level.

If you are shy of leaving the toon crafting 24/7 for fear of being banned, then your in for the "long haul" im afraid :)

Personally I was lazy and didn't care and had the same toon for weeks on end crafting every day in the same zone / room and still didnt get banned, undoubtedly I was reported about 30 times, GM's didn't seem to care.

Maybe I was lucky tho - who knows.

I do /afk craft but due to server resets and zone downs I often come home and have to reload EQ2. ATM I am getting a hard 13hrs of crafting a day then the server gets reset while I am at work. I don't wish to /afk craft but I have been doing it for about 2 weeks now on 2 puters.

I was just wondering if anyone has found any secret combinations that are producing more exp.

Although i'm sure you already know this the fastest way to level (but not make money) is to try for pristines in everything.....

Best way to do this is buy the crafting thing and have it in your place, dont set access to ur house and u cant get caught. No one can know u are crafting, they will just think u are sleeping or something.

The crafting stations you speak of only allow you to make crude unless of course you belong to a guild who who has a semi high city status lvl. The higher the guild status the better type of crafting station you get that will allow you to make better quality (crude, shaped, normal, pristine) items. At guild lvl 15 we recieved the normal level or 3rd lvl crafting stations (wont allow you to make pristines) At lvl 25-30 you get the pristine crafting station. You can also ask someone in a higher guild if they will allow you to join temporarily in order to purchase the higher end crafting stations. I sometimes allow this but the money acquired goes back into our guild fund not personal money (I am guild ldr). This isn't totally ethical to everyone but I say 'Hey if the guild is benefitting from it then we will do it'.

So in summary if you want a high end crafting station find a guild on your server that will allow you to BUY a temporary membership in order to purchase a status crafting table. You may get lucky and not have to BUY your way in, but most people dont give whore out their hard earned guild lvl for nothing.

What is the gold/status points required to buy one of these lvl 25 stations? I thought the cost was ungodly high..

im in a high enough guild to buy a pristine crafting (i havnt checked, but i believe we can). Ill check later and post prices.

as for fast leveling. when you make a level, make every recipe you can at pristine. if you havnt been doing so, start at your current level, once you pristine everything, if you havnt leveled, go on level lower and pristine all that. then you'll get a new level, pristine everything in that level, then if you dont level, continue to pristine the lower level where you left off. when you get to the point where you pristine everything of current level, and you dont get much exp pristining the lower levels, then re-pristine the current level.

as a sage, its easy for me because im never at a loss for money. i buy inks, i buy quills, and i make paper cuz its easy. but i have so many spells that i can usually pristine all my spells and im at like 85% or so, then by the time i re-pristine, i level.
