Question for anyone who has a quick minute to answer. Not really a problem I dont think but does anyone else have an issue where multiple LaunchPad.exe instances appear in the process list even after the game has launched?

Had one case lastnight where I had 12 launchpads running in the processlist. Just compound my own issues I believe

yep normally I have one named and one blank with just the EQ2 symbol, no idea why but doesn't seem to hurt anything that I have noticed.

This is the same problem I have. It goes something like this I have figured:

Launch Xunleashed, Launch EQ2 from within Xunleashed, play EQ2, quit EQ2, quit Xunleashed.

NOW, there is still 2 instances of LaunchPad.exe running. And yes, they are eating some memory.

If you start Xunleashed again and launch EQ2 again, play, quit, same as above, YOU WILL GET 2 MORE instances of memory eating LaunchPad.exe

So I figure if you got like 12 LaunchPad.exe you have prolly restarted Xunleashed and EQ2 6 times.

This is not only the issue of LaunchPad, at least not for me. Try starting windows media player 10 a few times... they also get stuck in memory, why I dont know, im no coder or such. I have not found any other program that gets stuck in memory... only LaunchPad and WMP10... weird.

I found this out some time ago when I thought my computer was so slow I thought it was about to break or something. It had like 24 instances of LaunchPads and 6 or 7 WMP10.... Goodbye RAM!!

Anyway, I have to use taskmanager a couple times every day and quit the memory resident LaunchPads and WMP10, it really sucks but I have gotten used to it...

ps. ive had the same problem on 2 computers.... completely different specs on both cpu, memory and video...

Yea I did exactly like you said, launched and restarted both LauncPad and EQ several times. I cannot find anything wrong with this behavior per say, I even went so far as to end task them while in game, and no harmful effects that I could see occured.

On the other hand I am just having difficulty running the damn app so additional LAunchPAds is the least of my worries at the moment. I just want to start getting some benefit from the Xxunleashed application at this point, I could care less how many launchpads load up :):)

I noticed this right away. Everytime I shut down eq2/x I kill that launcher(s). They are big time memory/resource hogs.

Yea they can be, have you ever noticed any negative impacts from them though? Such as numerous launch pads causing the game or xunleashed to get confused or crash.

I am guessing that they might have something to do with my problem although I am grasping at straws now :)

oh man I though that I found out about this one :( ....lol

I have found one thing that this problem does couse....
Why can I not see the XU "taskbar" when I scroll down to the bottom of the screen?
One thing that I have learned is that if notice that sometimes the "taskbar" does not load what you need to do is close the game and XU down, then push "ctrl + alt + del" to bring up you taskmanager. Once you get that up goto the processes tab. You will see "Launchpad.exe" listed in there close ALL of them down. Now your XU taskbar will work again.
I have noticed that when I have more then 4 launchpads running my XU "taskbar" never shows up, but after I clear them it will show up the first time.

updating xunleashed to the 4.0 beta seems to get rid of the extra launchpad processes. Also, and this is the main reason I updated, the scripts no longer hiccup 20 times a day when it misses one ping to the xunleashed server.
