Quest item link bug..... : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

I found this while I was doing a run through roost on an alt. There are items that drop off Harpies called quills or something, when you lotto it a link is displayed to group. I was being bored and clicked on the one that I had looted and it let me update the quest with it. Then I clicked on the link that a friend had looted (so in my friends inventory) and it let me update the quest off it.....So then I scrolled up and finished the quest by updating off of others looted items. This can come in VERY handy in a place like Poets Palace where globes are scarce. have fun

EDIT: The person that I updated from their inventory had already finished quest....tried off someone that was doing quest and it didnt work...very sketchy but it for sure worked once lol, need some testing for this

That's very interesting. Where you able to find out if the person still had the item after you clicked on it?

you probably had one in your inventory as well

You have been able to update off links like that as long as you own teh item in your bank or in your bags.
