Sell/Trade Attuned Armor : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

Today I was crafting some rare Roughspun robes for an alt. After I made the robe I equipped it and attuned it. I looked at the stats and realized that I didn't imbue it. :( So I took it off and imbued it, after being imbued it was no longer attuned and I put it on the broker for sale then made a different type of rare robe for my toon.

This works for T2 Rare robes. It could possibly work for anything that is able to be imbued. Essentially you could make rare chest/leggings, wear them till you outgrow them, imbued them then trade them or put them on the broker.

That's why it's nice that it's an MMORPG. :) Have someone imbue it for you.

You have to trade an item to imbue it, so if you attune it, you can't trade it.

When you imbue an item, it destroys the old one, and gives you a new one in it's place, so yes, I can see this working.

this is a tradeskill known thing (or at least on my server) not an exploit, but is helpful for crafters who accidently hit attune instead of inspect =]

This has always been the case, in every tier, since imbuing was added. It's not an exploit as said earlier. It destroys the old version and creates an entirely new one, thus it's unattued. It's only helpful to you if you craft that type of item though. Limited use...but works.
