Things appear farther away than they really are- new issue? : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

I haven't used my radar in a while but this was never an issue before. I have a new hard drive so have the latest Xunleashed version (4.4) installed.

The problem is that I have to be wiing a few feet of something before it is visible on my radar. When I target the item, person, NPC, mob, etc. radar makes it appear near the edge or off my radar screen. As I said, this happens unless I am a few feet away - as I approach the targeted object, it soomed closer to me very quickly. It's like I'm taking giant steps and get close very quickly ~ or else the object appears waaay off in the distance even if it's not very far away.

Anyone else having this problem? I also see a jumble of yellow moving along the edge of the radar window like lots of objects are all being read and stacking at hte edge of the screen. I DO see something move closer as I move around, they just approach too fast and I have to be too close before they appear close on my screen.

Any ideas?

While I'm bringing up issues, any idea how to fix this as well?
When I am in full screen mode the bottom bar will pop up on mouseover and looks/works fine. However, when I switch to windowed mode, the bar and any X windows I bring up are skewed. The bottom bar looks too large and everything angles with the bottom of everything shifted sharply to the right - top of everything to the left. I've changed resolution in (both EQ2 and Windows matching) down but that didn't help. I usually keep my PC at 1600X1200.

Thanks and happy to be a re-subscriber!

I think your either zoomed in too far or the radar isn't offset correctly. I haven't used it in awhile so i'm sorry i can't help you directly, but try messing around with the options on the radar.
