XU not allowing me to start EQ2 : EverQuest 2 Premium Discussions

The message:

ERROR: Requested DirectX9 Screen Format is not currently compatable with XUnleashed.

is found in my log file. I also have the message:

Error 404: File not found on patch server...

whenever I start up XU now I have the EQ2 plugin installed. When the game tries to load, the screen (still in windows) uses the gamma settings that I have in EQ2 (i.e. the brightness increases) and the mouse cursor becomes the EQ2 cursor. However, my systems (have tried it on 3 machines) all just hang in windows, with a bright screen and then give up.

Any ideas?

Turn off the tcpip packet sniffer plugin. Ie, uncheck it.

Also, take a screenshot of your plugins tab and options tab. and post it here.


Also, the file not found error will cause your xu to hang.
