BANNED : FFXI General Discussions

Well my account got banned last night... As you may have seen my post before, none of my routes were working since I made all of them using the "fishy config." Since they did not work, I decided I would try out the fisher_saru script that is given to you when you download XUFISH. Well I decided that while that script was running, I would go to bed and get my sleep. I wake up, and it gives me that message saying you account has been terminated or whatever, and that I would just have to simply reactivate all my content ID's. I was curious to how I got caught, so I looked in my FFXI Log and my XU_Fish logfile. Here is what I saw...

Now this all happened while I was sleeping. I dont understand how my characted could have warped while I was sleeping. Well its ok because my accound didnt get fully banned, I just had to reactivate all my content ID's. Well I just wanted to tell you guys because I found this very strange that my character just mysteriousely warped. I also recieved no tells from a GM or anyone so I also assume that they used that little pop window thing. Thanks guys for listening

I also got banned last night. I was running hydrohunter ; ; There is nothing on my logs as far as warping or /tell's. just people examining me then at about 4:40am EST it seems to have stopped. Then this morning I go to log on and I get the same message about having to reactivate my account. Either account got banned somehow or both of has had credit card decline POL (it is monthly pay time).

If your fishing and going to leave it running while you are AFK or sleeping get a seperate account. I have one which is my main account and i fish for skill ups with my lu shang, and another i leave running at night fishing up carps, that way if it gets banned i've lost nothing other than a comp rod and a few quid.

check your macro sets. do you have "warp" on the macro set above or below your fishing macro set? It could have accidentaly hit "alt+up" or "alt+down".

The "account terminated" that you can just reactivate immediatelly and have to activate all content IDs mean your monthly payment failed.

It specifically says you have been banned if you're actually banned I think.

Yep, sounds like the account CC expired or needs to be resubscribed.

I think asl is right, when you are banned it wil say Account Banned or Account Suspended

If you will get the first ban you will be suspended for 72hours.
You are in a prison-style room and can't exit^^
After the 72 hours before you can leave a GM will tell you and ask if you know why you was suspended and blabla.....

If it happens a 2nd time your account will be closed, but I don't know if you can use the reg-keys again but I don't think so.

They just processed payments today (beginning of month). I'm sure that was all it was.

i got suspended once for not replying GM tell

then i got sent to jail a second time (while i was at computer!!!!!!!!!!!) and got disconnected from server.

i was there the second time, no box, no tell no nothing, the GM just warped me to jail. and 3 days later, i called GM in jail and he didnt say a word and warp me back to home point

I just got banned last night, well suspended, all i got was an error message saying serer timed out and when i tried to log in it says "Your Playonline account has been temporarily suspended. Please contact the playonline information center for further details."

So how do i do that do i have to call some number or something? I was running an NM camper unattended.
