How does SE detect Flee tool? Is it based on people seeing you and zone changing too fast or can physically detect a program is running ( like a virus scan)
I just wrote this up in the other thread where you asked the same question:
I doubt they can detect the fisher directly, but they could probably tell whether or not you're botting by a few simple things:
1. AFK and/or standing in 1 spot for hours.
2. Repeating the same action over and over and over and over so many times that only a machine could do it.
3. No linkshell, /anon, no communication with ANY human being, etc.
Those are just some things a person/GM could look for to see if someone is botting. Odds are, if they met all 3 of those things (especially AFK botting) they're probably botting.
So don't do them.
As a recommendation, I suggest that if you're going to bot, you move your character's position around a lot. Not a lot, lot, but every 20 minutes or so. It'll give people the impression that you're not botting, but actually there, and getting tired of standing in the same position for a long time. This gives you a more human-like appearance and can definitely reduce your chances of getting caught.
But like previously stated, there's no way for them to directly tell whether or not you're botting, because there's no way for them to legally (accent on legally) scan your computer for malicious (for FFXI) programs. They would need to add that to their EULA (End User License Agreement) or their ToS (Terms of Service) in order to do ANY type of scanning of your computer. So just having and running the programs is safe, for now, but it's how you USE those programs that can get you into trouble.
