Hi, I want to buy some gils online, but wondering if I would get ban by SE? Do they keep track of trading infos? Because I want to buy a very large amount of gils.

Thanks

the server logs everything because they can check who got what and from what character and when. SE generally does not ban gil buyers.

But if you're a gilbuyer I hate you forever and you're one of the reasons the economy got and still is messed up. Gilbuyers are one of the main reasons... I don't like you >.>

No offence... But once you go RMT, there's no turning back XD

no, RMT is not the reason. The way the game is set up and how the economy functions is to blame. FFXI rares are not World drops; and for things that cant be world drops they didnt do instances with lower % of dropping, and there is very little room for money to escape the economy (food)

Take wow for example: does their economy suck? No. Does RMT really make a huge dent in the economy? No. So, whats the difference between Wow and FFXI? how money enters, and leaves, circulation.

just because some one buys gill does not mean they are a bad person. Its a personal choice that does not concern you, nor your opinions; Why should it matter to you?

link turn!

SE deletes RMT mules, along with their money. So, RMT is a deflationary force.

Its not all of them, its some that affect the economy. Most of the gilbuyers I know, go around and buy every damn over priced thing even when they have no idea what its for. People like that are part of the reason. Prices go soaring up and the group of people that have less money than the gilbuyers suffer because they can't keep up with the inflation. Luckily, some of the prices have gone down, and there are those who don't go around blowing off that 25mil they just bought and completely throw away any chance of deflation we had for the day >.>

Hopfully they do ban you. I'm sure if SE deleted all the RMT accts (including gil buyers) instead of people pos'ing around a lot more people would be happier, and the economy would have been a lot better.

No... I don't bot to claim... I claim the NMs myself. I used the bot for fun cuz it gets boring when you outclaim all the little NM noobs... Screwin with programs is fun. And no, I never "hack" the game. So don't even go down that road buddy XD

heres my question. i was just banned with a lot of gil worth of gear. im coming back and i really dont like the idea of redoing every single thing again. not to mention i made all of my money by farming and hunting the small NMs like LL and VE, juju gi etc. Since i am now forced to start over and the economy is already in ruin, during xmas i was thinking of buying enough gil to get to the point where i used to be. is that wrong? im not doing it to buy a lot of gear that i really dont need. just enough to put me back where i was in gear. i know all of the gear i used for my rng, and i want to get it back. never bought gil so this would be a crusher for me. but i was at the end of rng minus two sea drops and the qiqrin collar. ive put over 2 years into the game and i get banned for a quik PM mission. of course i would have lost all sky drops on this one but meh.

Depends... If you don't go around paying the maximum for everything instead of the minimum and keep prices so damn high.... Idc..

yea right, i dont like high prices either. i am so happy my server prices have dropped dramatically. Some of the gear i can camp or have crafted so its no biggie. although my E bow, idk. went 2 1/2 weeks against rmt, no bot, no drop..... i thought K club was worse at first.

I do not advise buying gil for ethical reasons, but in reality you're not going to get banned for it. The one thing I will say is - don't waste it. Be stingy; stretch it as far as possible etc, and don't get dependant.

Bear in mind that any satisfaction you might have gained from obtaining item X is lost if you simply buy gil for it.
