changes to mob claiming etc.. : FFXI General Discussions

i dont play much anymore so i dont get to go after big NMs or what not only being a 37 whm now (lolbanstick). But i hear alot of freinds in game mentioning in last patch SE changed the way mobs claim or somthing.
any ideas or observations? im curious

its been changed quite long ago. u cant claim nm immediate moment they pop anymore. theres delay put in that no one can touch it. applies to normal mob too i think

yes i know about the claim delay thats very old .. but it just hear somthing different with emity or w/e in last patch.

that
when you land offensive hit to the mob (voke, attack, magic, w/e) it wont turn red to u unless u hold the most hate. this mainly was put in to solve the sleep linking mob problem imo.

before
pt 1 sleep a link, it turn yellow.
pt 2's thf ran by, throw a stone at it
it turns red to pt2 but still attacking pt 1.

now
pt 1 sleep a link, it turn yellow.
pt 2's thf ran by, throw a stone at it
the link will remain yellow because pt 1 still holds more hate.

New claiming thing is really "!@#$%^*" in my opinion...

But then again.... I love it when retarded gilsellers forget to put blockaid on....

I always thought cure V was hate free cure and Cure IV was the bad one.

cure 5 is the "cap" free cure. the hate = the amount you heal.

1. I'm not a White Mage so I wouldn't know
2. I just said that as a joke...
3. I want to know why anyone would actually use a WHM to camp an NM anyways...

Pretty sure Cure V has a hate cap. It's not hate free, but its not going to be the full amount of the cure like I - IV.

I got my WHM to 21 yesterday! Woohoo! lol
