ffxi damaged cd : FFXI General Discussions

hello, i have a problem. i need to install to anew pc but my cd is damaged on the picture side. where do i find cd keys? its been a long time since i installed it last, and i dont remember much about them.
what i hope is, if i get an iso from somewhere and i find out what the cdkeys r for the discs i have, i should be ok right? i already have pol installed.

You don't need the cd keys to install the game, only to create a new account. Aka, if you've used the keys already then you're fine.

However, if you haven't got the keys anymore you can't create a new account in any way, you most likelly have to buy a new copy of ffxi.

so if i had an account for a long time, but need to renew it, i shouldnt need cd keys? btw where r the cd keys? were they on the box?
i just need to find a freind to email final fantasyxi to me? do u think?

You might need your registration keys to reactivate an account. S-E knows that better than me though....

Anyway, CD-keys are in your manual and you should really ask questions like these from the S-E support, I mean it's there for a reason.

ok this is how it works leats say you cancel your account and come back to it 2 months alater and wanna turn it back on you wont need cd key all you need is your screen name and password and maybe credit card.

so all i gotta do is get some buddy to email me some ffxi. thanks alot for the help u guys.

just to clarify.

the serialz for the game can be found(in their oem packaging) in the back of the actual game instruction/user manual. therin lies a fold out applet containing the serialz.

Keys are in the User manual not on the CD itself.

well i cant find anyone to email me any ffxi components so i guess ill have to buy it again.. i hope im not too late to save my character. i had a fun 63war/nin and 97 cooking.

i had it on my ftp for you but all you did is log on and log off and did not even try to download it but if you wanna give it a try again leat me know.
