Game OVER!!! : FFXI General Discussions

In the past days i got 1 account banned for fishing (xifish) i fish with my computer aside and was used to the tell alarm that xufish had, well long story short, i have 6 accounts on the server 6 ids and lots of mules all of them with high level crafts like goldsmithing 100, smithing 100, bone 100, alchemy 100, cloth 100, cook 100, wood 100 and like 3 with fishing 100, only craft i never went trough was leathercraft.

All the accounts where created by me, registered at my name address and shared the same cc info.

Today all my accounts got baned, they got related to the one baned for fishing, they accused me of gil selling, IDIOTS lol i dont sell gil, and they told me i was a rtm in all my accounts so, they took like aprox 500 million gil of me .

So for me is game over on this game im obsessed with money in games and i was stupid enough to get to have max money, 4 years of playing thrown away, just for the cc.

The ones who stay if you really value your accounts don't bot, use another account to bot use different cc on every one so you never got hit like i did.

Its well known that SE bans people on false pretenses. Well, it is their game, so they have the right to be ill-informed apathetic morons, I suppose. Sorry to hear that you were unfortunate enough for it to happen to you. Anywho, congrats on your second child!

I had the exact same thing happen as well. 3 accts, one busted, all get banned. I think SE went kinda overboard banning accounts just because they share CC info. first offense, no warning, just hit by the ban-stick

I'm getting a LM-17, which from what little info i could dig up, says it should be a temp suspension, but when i talked to the info center, they said i was permanently banned. Oh well, it's an opportunity for me to finally get away from FFXI; forced retirement

Technically... That's really smart on their part. But only if the account they're accusing in the first place was actually cheating/hacking/botting/whatever. If that account was cheating, linking other accounts to it on the same credit card would mean that the same person (most likely) owns that secondary account. Which gives them a big reason to ban them. Once a cheater, always a cheater. Doesn't matter which account you're on. If you did it once, you'll do it again. So they kinda did a smart thing in banning all the people on the same credit card if one of those accounts was caught going against the ToS. BUT, if that person wasn't cheating in the first place, then it would be a very very very !@#$%^* head thing of them to do...

But that's just my opinion on it... And yes, I despise SE just as much as any other person on this site.

I dont beleive in the banning of the CC. I mean if you are a parent and you and your son both play. You should not get both banned because of something your son did.

Truth be told, I had four accounts at once on one credit card (mine, Ryder's, my girlfriends', and my gil bank account). Granted I did something on one account, but they banned all of the others.

I think it was pretty messed up though because my girlfriend at the time was just playing the game to enjoy it. I don't care about my actions but my other accounts shouldn't be punished for the actions on one account.

Someone also told me that they banned their street address, that they came back with a new account and FF slapped a LM-17 on it too for no reason. Whither this is true or not, I don't know.

OP, I know what its like to loose alot of stuff, and sorry to hear it happened to someone else especially over something to trivial as to having a few accounts on one credit card... Hope you enjoy parenthood, kids are #1 birth control in my book.

Yes, they ban your Name, Street address email and cc Info, all of them.

I had two accounts. Both accounts were being paid with same credit card. Mule fishing account got banned for bot fishing. Never sold gil from it. I always transferred all gil to main account. My main account never got banned though. But I had enough of SE's bs so sold like 100 mil gil from main account and left less than a mil. Guess what? They never banned my main account.

I am still quiting FFXI for good ! It is very nice and fun game but everything takes too long. Alot of people have responsibilities in real life and can't efford time to farm several days just to buy ammo for jobs such as ranger. I have to make choice between reading bed time stories to my kids or farming for gil. It was nice of SE to ban my mule account and making it easier for me to quit the game.

Well, these tools are used at your own discretion, so you can't really blame them for catching you on a true pretense. But falsely accused is just horrible. ><
