Hell yeah. I definately agree with you on that one. I wonder what the game would be like if GMs didn't care about 3rd party programs. I'm guessing pure chaos and gil sellers, so i'm kinda glad they try to bust people. Just sucks they busted the wrong person this time. When I get back i'm gonna school those Mee and Quu gil sellers with pure skill just to see if they try calling on me again. lol

GMs are humans too like us, they're not always guided by logic and sense, and sometimes take actions not appropriate.

Which is sad, because for the most part they answer to no one, if they !@#$%^&* up, its your problem, not thiers.

I won't say something stupid like "I don't use programs", especially on this site.

But my first and only suspension on any of my accounts, was for "AFK Fishing"...when I had been AFK for almost 2 hours, not fishing at all.

I've always been big on "Attended botting", so if I actually go away, I turn it off.

According to my logs, I was sent a tell almost two hours after I had stopped fishing, and was jailed for not responding to it...

When I came back and paged a GM, and mentioned that the time stamp didn't match a period where I was actively fishing... He just told me I shouldn't use 3rd party logging software...lol.
(He didn't even know the information appears *IN* a text file in the ffxi folder, you don't even need a program to read it, he didnt respond when I pointed that out either).

Point of this small story is, GMs do stupid !@#$%^&* like the rest of us humans, with the only differance being when they make a mistake, we pay the consequences.

The most retarded thing about GMs is that they can say you are using 3rd party apps about anything.. Even if you do not use one at all.. GM's are mostly people with god complexes and that think you’re criminal regardless what you tell them. I have yet too hear of a GM that will even listen too you and let you go with out the minimal 72 ban. I hate GMs!!!!!

a person who sells in game currency to a big company. in this game they sell the currency gil to the company like IGE so they are gil sellers. in wow it would be gold sellers or those chinese gold farmers or whatever you call them im not positive

i got banned for /shout and then for saying i was a gm in my bazzar as a joke. oh well got all 3 accounts banned at once for that... even on my mule haha

oh yeah and i called several, rather many a times and was told I can ask for an appeal to get my account possibly returned. Been about 7 months no word even after the presistent calls. My friends 5 of them quit after I never made it back for being banned on stupid charges. Anyways I guess the looser in the end in SE. Sure it may be insignifcant to loose 5 people with 2-3 accounts each which totals to... I forget how much SE charges but Im sure about $150 a month. Also SE has no reason to ban Gilsellers. The amount of gilsellers plus the rate at which gil is sold gives SE outsider information on how well the game is doing as a business rather than an actual fair community of people playing a computer game.

Anyways I hung my hat up for FFXI a long time ago I'll probably never return. But its intersting how SE maintains their business strategy.

Upon Suspension, I know Iono how I wasnt banned yet am happy. I d/l'd the wow trial for something to do. Im like few a clean slate.... 5mins of realizing that 80% of the quests seem to take 20mins to run to I bust out
Cheat Engine 5.2 and do the exact thing I was suspended for in FFXI. kinda fun to mess with ppl in there though. bein able to out run a dude that spent god knows how long to get his fastest mount.
