has this game died? : FFXI General Discussions

i quit about a year ago for financial reasons and i came basck a few days ago, it seems dead! there is what 4 people at max by the AH in bastock. Wow, disapointing, or is it jsut that nobody lives in bastock or san o'drian anymore?

FFXI hasn't died yet, but its starting to go, fast. good riddance i say.

even so, there used to be a ton of afk sellers in bastock

drop the game, it will be dead within a year with only the fanboys alive showing of their "1337" gears to no one but themselves

i guess good things can never last, this use to be a great game.
and with it for the 360 now i thought itd bring more.

i mean jesus ppl, flyff is bigger then this now.

LOL You judge the activity of the game by the people in bastok?? No one even enters the three cities unless they are doing a quest or crafting or fishing. The afk bazaaring is done in rolanberry fields now, and everyone stays in whitegate

when i use to play thats not how it was, so i did not know

The New SE MMO should be coming out within the next 2 years = the death of ffxi

People is saying FFXI died in the last 2 years, but I dont think so, still same player base, more server than when it started.

Will take a lot of time to this game take less then 5000 people playing, so SE will probably merge server till there, and that will take time.

Of course new MMORPGS with upated graphcis will show up, but I dont care, new game is not equal better game for me.

And everything since born is dieing by definition, so with time FFXI will too. In 1, 2 or 3 years? I doubt.

Everquest 1 & 2, Ultima Online, just a few examples of dead MMORPGS lol.
