help please : FFXI General Discussions

hi, i'm a new premium subscriber to xunleashed..

i've downloaded the client, but i have no idea how to work it...

how does the windower work and how does the DX toggle hack work for ffxi?

this site is nice, but i don't plan to pay $25 to look at every forum topic to search for answers.. isn't there a page to explain installation, and how to work the plugins?

DX toggle hack works with any dx8+ game.

client just runs. Click on options tab to set your game, and go.

Plugins are activated by moving themouse to the bottom of the screen ( or if windowed+dialog are checked, then use ctrl-ins-#(1-9) to active plugins)

i still can't get anything to work

isn't there a page on how to use xunleashed instead of me trying to figure how it works?

i need step by step instructions, please

the windower doesn't work, where is the options tab? which is which for ctrl-int 1-9???

Start Xunleashed.exe
Wait for it to patch.
Click the "Launch" button.
Click the "Options" tab.
Select Final Fantasy XII in the list.
Click the window and dialog checkboxes.
Start the Final Fantasy XII configuration tool (from start menu).
Enable Hardware Mouse cursor.
Close the Final Fantasy XII configuration tool.
Close any screenshot tools such as Fraps.
Click the leftmost tab in XUnleashed.
Click "Play".
Start FFXI as normal, when you use "Play" in FFXI it should launch a windowed ffxi (will flicker a little).

Now you can press ctrl+ins+3 and stuff.

A pretty good start would probably be saying what Operating system you use and what graphic card etc etc.

windows xp, without sp2

radeon 9600XT AGP 256 MB

Try installing SP2.

are there other options i need to check or things i need to download and install to make this work?

Exactly WHAT is not working?

nothing is working...

including the windower, and the dx toggle hack

i've followed all the needed instructions to start unleashed and then pol...

but nothing happens, it does not go into window mode nor it shows the task bar you guys are talking about.. and the ctrl-ins does not work...

it just does nothing...

Make sure you have compact keyboard layout and hardware mouse enabled.

Hardware mouse is in the FFXIConfig.exe
Compact keyboard is in the game under MISC 2

i do have hardware mouse enabled...

but even if i don't have the compact keyboard activated, shouldn't the taskbar show up even without windowed mode?

the unleashed program just does nothing, when pol opens, it starts as if unleashed were never started.. just nothing
