Hallo,

got some problem with fishing in general!
I am fihsing in Port San D'Oria for one hour i i am getting about 60 - 70 moat carps within this time, but nearly exaqctly after one hour my fishing result turnes from 5% rusty items into 50% rusty items. And after an half hour fishing 50% rusty items i gain no cath at all ("You catch nothing") I am movin area and still got result like "You catch nothing"... after waitng 3 - 4 hours again i am fishing again 60-70 moat carps but only for one hour.

Has somebody any familiar experiance on that? Is there a solution at all?

Is there a hard cap for fishing per day at all?

STFW might not be an appropriate responce here. Probably still wouldn't help him. I think he doesn't realize that zoning into your house doesn't help for purposes of fishing. When you zone into your house you are in the same zone according to FFXI. You need to actually switch zones and come back or the fishing %'s to update properly.

BTW for purposes of logout, as zoning, this doesn't work either. You MUST changes zones with the character. Logging might work if you are logging out for 20 minutes or more but just relogging doesn't help fishing %'s.

He don't have to state it, I deduced it. He's either zoning into his moghouse or trying to log to fix his problems. If he was zoning to another zone there wouldn't be a problem and he wouldn't be posting it.

Sorry I wasn't trying to be rude ealier. I was just trying to point out that he probably didn't know that only going into another zone and no other place can fix that fishing issue.

Ah! You reached the fish cap for the day. You can only catch 200 fish a day, then get a really poor catch rate. Just use different characters if you are fishing for moats.
