Jin or Ku : FFXI General Discussions

Hello, and welcome to a new debating thread!

Here is the big question:

Which weaponskill do you think is better; Jin or Ku?

And the debate starts in 3...2....1....

I got tired of hearing people complain on my server about which is better.... /sigh...

So I decided to post here and see what other people thought...

Whichever one is picked by the most people, I will probably use...

I really don't care though....

They're both fine to me xD

I will have to vote for Jin as it parses alot higher for me than Ku when I'm on my atk setup for normal exp pts. I use Ku only for dark skillchains and thats about it in my experience. I do love the animation of Ku, but for consistency, Jin is the way to go.

KI isn't any better

Anyways, Ku has lower stat mods being 10% Dex and Str, whereas Jin is 30% Dex and Str. The TP mod on Ku is accuracy vs the critical hit rate chance from Jin. With the right + Critial Hit rate weapons in both main hand and offhand, you can deal more dmg with Jin than Ku.

well KI is more... entertaining than alla imo, on KI it turns into an argument, on alla it turns into who can read the harry potter books fastest -.- , no offense to anyone but if your gonna argue over the internet dont just spam "are you retarded" and "my logic exceeds YOUR logic" , bring it out like you was outside with the moms the !@#$%^* family members and the homosexualNESS!

I did 20 Ku and 20 Jin on Imps....

Only 3 of the Jin had Berserk on and 5 of the Ku had it.

Based on those:

Jin owns Ku lol

Not sure if it would make a big difference though: We had a BRD in the party for all of my Jins, but they normally hit that high anyways, so I wasn't conserned about the songs. And I even used Sushi to make up for the Ku... They barely did any better...

Ku may look cool, but Jin kicks its !@#$%^* over and over and over.... lol

Ku is for the look, that has to be one of the best anima in the game =] depending on ur race ofcorse.

The kanji on Blade: Ku means : "Should have used jin lol"

But ya, Ku is really just for making Darkness for aspid, and frag for fafnir

You use Ku on high evasion mobs that you're having trouble hitting. Just get up to 150~200TP and you won't miss with the ws. Jin's the normal spamalot watsaskillchain tpburn valkurmdunes party at 75 geethanksforthegamebalancebreaking expansion squenix ws.

I've been in a mnk burn in Uleguerand Range that got over chain 200, the expansion isn't totally broken.
