Just Curious About Updates : FFXI General Discussions

Not sure but it seems as of late that FFXI has become the unwanted stepchild, the only one seeming to do any kind of updates or programming is ASLDF. maybe I'm wrong but there just seems to be alot of beta scripts out there that never get updated.

I usually dont like complaining but most of the information on this site I can get elsewhere for free. would be nice to see some feedback whether yes I am updating and uploading now or no I do not plan on doing anything, just something that will help me choose whether to look elsewhere for service.

I know you all do other things in RL but I like others I assume like the hope that yes there may be something coming but all the false hope gets to be like the boy who cried wolf anymore, ..

I guess your thing is there's no voke bot?

Scripts published like this are by nature beta stuff, I try to do my best to provide sensible documentation but considering how hard it is to actually make people read it sometimes even I lsoe faith.

Anyway, I'm looking into making some additional features for CTS to consolitate some other scripts on the board. However, people seem to only be interested in fast voke bots. The reason I've put such an effort into a fishing then a synthesizing script is because these don't directly affect other people and the tasks are easy to make it seem like a human player. If there's something that'd be really neat that you'd want that is >> FEASIBLE << and won't ruin the game for others (voke bot and auto whm etc falls here) post about it and I might consider making it.

Yes, there are both fishing, synthing and autoleveling bots in other places but it's my experience these don't keep the same quality as what's available here. I mean, a synthesizer that can't differentiate between stacked and unstacked items? A fishing bot that can only do a small subset of what xufish can? Sure, it's free but I'd never use it.
I had XUFish sneak fishing in SSG for over half a year 24 hours a day, where's other scripts that can do that?

asl18fs, I think he's specificly not talking about you. But I could be wrong. If I had to say what he's talking about I'd say it's the radar update that has suppose to have come for at least 6 months now.

No not concerned about voke bot, things like that I dont need, but would like to see an update of the radar have heard of all the great features that are ready to be implemented but have yet to see. Personally if I cant win voke by myself I shouldnt be camping, and when everyone has a bot like Hydru, then maybe its time to do something else.

the autosynthesizer and fishing bots are great and if I am not mistaken mostly coded by you ASLDF. The only other function that is of use to me is the radar and right now it is kinda buggy.

So I stand by that you remain as far as I can see right now the main contributor to the FFXI area. I am sure the other games have some following but it would be nice to have some of the main plugins updated to use the new service features.
