Latest FFXI News. New AF called AF 2 : FFXI General Discussions

Many of you might of already seen this. But for those you of that havent seen/heard about the new expension comming out soon(No date), here's somethings to fill you in:

New AF: Register to unlock hidden link
- Information i got was that this new AF gear will NOT replace the current one, but instead it will upgrade. Reason SA is doing this is since the LV cap went up to 75 the new gear was better then the Current AF, therefore alot of players started to complain it was usless to get it.

New Summon?: Register to unlock hidden link

I have 1hr and 30minutes of video that was taken when the new expension was tested, i have to upload it to my server and i'll soon have it up.

btw that is delfutt tower in the pic with the summon, i wonder if it is obtained at the top of the tower, new lvl 65 gigas were added up there recently

Heh Dragoon looks sexy. I love the relic armor, but sadly, my warrior AF isn't that cool :(

The summon thinggy is fenrir.... ^^


relic armour is the items u get in a special new area called dynamis i believe. Only lvl 65 and above can get in. Need an hourglass to get in. there is also a limit to the no. of people who can go in. Kinda complicated.... i think the "mystery" site has the info.. not so clear tho.

Btw.. i do not think that relic = AF2...
See the relic part is all weapons while AF2 are all armours.

Proper name for AF2 is actually Relic.
Like proper name for AF is Artifact.

ok i think i need to clear up some confusion here, AF2 could mean 2 things... Either the Relic gear, or regular AF item #2(like the AF with 2nd lowest level requirement)

However most people call the 'af2 relic gear' for relic gear instead of AF-2 to avoid this misunderstanding

There is actually a new AF in the expansion called AF2. It is not refering to AF quest #2. Relic is weapons right now, the AF2 is basically the high level Relic armor to go with the weapons.

AF2 being the higher version of you lower level AF gear.
