It is not in the license agreement. They are scanning your processes; windower is definetely safe, but personally, I'm going to say rootkits for anything else.

Taj from BG forums assures people it's safe to use windower, and that all they do is hash it to make sure it really is windower. Of course other programs.....not recommended unless you're confident it's hidden.

I'm pretty sure thats illegal. SE would not risk their entire business to catch a few hackers. they cant just "see" what your running on you computer at any given time FFXI is running, unless they add a whole bunch of crap to the user agreement (and you agree to it), in which event, you would hear about it: Remeber Warden for WoW?
