Race DAT swap : FFXI General Discussions

Wondering if anyone could post a guide on how to change race through swapping your DATs, couldnt find one anywhere.

why dat swapping? its a little to much work IMO. you could try using wardrobe or the old race changer that edits the Vtable and Ftable Dats. Or if your using azarils windower, they made a DLL

Yes, I know that, a friend of mine wanted to know, i personally like the windower plugin.

ah, well, in that case: my bro knew a guy who did it, he said that it took him 3 months or something like that, and literally thousands of dats to swap. Bassically, everything that corresponds with one race (animations, weps) needs to be switched exactly with that of another race. suffice it to say, its one of the most tedious and hardest things you could possible try to do, your bassically hacking under the system, rather than in it, or above it. there is so much room for error, its not even funny, and if SE has an update, its possible it could replace everything, rendering everythign you did completely useless.

So how does the WIndower PLugin work? It changes only my appearance or stats also? Is it only me who see myself as another race, or do the rest of vanadiel see it too?

Its client side only.
Only you can see it.
And it doesn't change your stats, but if you change from hume to mithra, you won't be able to equip hume rse until you change back. But if you already have it on, it will stay on.
