Umm i dont think so because like me for example i use DSL and all my neigborhood does to and we share the same public ip, we are working like a NAT network, so i dont think so.

But who knows....

Also you can be a student sharing the same internet connection with your roomate so if you decide to cheat, that doesnt make your roomate cheater too.

But again, who knows....

I believe they ban your credit card so you may want to switch the CC info on one of them.

Its possible they could just ban your mac address as well.

No no no. They do NOT ban by IP address, MAC address or CC. They on an account to account basis. I can confirm this easy.

I have 4 accounts, 2 of them were suspended, 2 of them not. All come from the same IP address, I spread the 4 accross 2 credit cards, however that would have still gotten all 4 suspended if they did it this way.

If they banned by IP address that would result in people who did nothing wrong being banned, people who share the same household, or some colleges. Credit card has the same issue, someone may pay for 2 accounts on the same card for 2 children, but one is a cheater, one is not.

No, you will not get banned on an account you do absolutely nothing wrong on even if it's on the same IP with the same credit card.

i have seen proof of them banning multiple accounts just by credit card. it all depends on how bad was the thing you did to get you banned.

I'd actually like to see it, because I can't see how POS is a 'light' offense on an account.
