Windower is laggy : FFXI General Discussions

Seems i'm haveing a time getting windower configuered on my set up.

I start XU and hit launch then goto options and check the windowed mode and nothing else(anti-detection is already checked) then goto play and when it goes into the veryfirst full screen menu with the blue bars it starts getting really laggy, and on every other screen after that.

I'm sure it's something i'm not doing or doing and i have searched for it but get some many "general" windower topics come back.

I have never noticed any kind of lag like you are describing. On your options is it set to ffxi? Ie not to the test programs, etc.

Hmm not sure and i don't want to say the wrong thing so heres a picture worth a 1000 words

The only thing i don't have is the window option selected but I know when I want to in, in window mode to selet it.

Ok, So I kinda figured it out seems that when i open the game in window mode, if the upper right corner of the window is off the screen it lags, but if i drag it back on to the screen (where I can see the red X) its fine. Any idea how i can resize the window so its border is just in veiw? Also why is it so dark?

eyeball, I had that same problem with gamma. It seems that they adjust the game screen gamma only if it is full screen. So only way to fix is to adjust your desktop gamma to see.

I was kinda thinking the same but was just waiting for someone of higher intelligence to make it real
