Get next to the wall you want to hack. Doors do not work with this.

Double-tap the fwd key which will roll your RSI forward.

Immediately afterwards, jump, hold fwd, and release the jump key.

Your RSI will jump through the wall, rubbering, as though it was a fence.

You will land where you began but you will know what is on the other side. If quick enough, you can activate computers, mainframes or talk to NPCs in locked rooms, in this manner.
