while checking my mail i got a strange one ,
I am only contacting you as a foreigner because this money cannot be
approved to a local resident here. To avoid the money being traced by the
government, it should be remitted to a nominated foreign account with an
insider like me as the contact point in the bank. This transaction is 100%
risk free and I assure you that as the chief account officer of this bank
this transaction is absolutely risk free and its success is never in doubt,
because all the necessary documents relating to this transaction is in my
care. And all approvals concerning this money are to be done by me and the
bank DIRECTOR IN CHARGE OF INTERNATIONAL FOREIGN REMITTANCE.

What I need from you now is your full bank details, to enable me transfer
this money in to your account. I need your full co-operation to make this
business work very well.

just a peice of what he was asking for, bank info. and look where the !@#$%^&* email was from
LOL, !@#$%^&*. anyone ever got something similar to this person, oddly in the 1088 spam mails i have this is a first

Are you kidding? There are hundreds or these suckers. I've seen ones from Arabian presidents and people with dieing children and everything. The worst part of it all is that people DO fall for it. There are idiots out there that will give out their information to that kind of message.

But, the best one i've seen, i nearly fallen into, was an ebay email. The email address was spoofed as a real ebay admin email and it was concerning a matter of my account being shutdown soon due to inactivity. Now of course i hadn't used ebay in years, so that was believable. So i clicked the to go the site and login but then i realised the web address. It was an IP, eg: http://65.230.23.100/login.php
If i hadn't noticed that small detail i would have been screwed. They copied the entire ebay website and hosted it on their own server. So if i logged in they'd grab my login details just like that.

Sneaky !@#$%^&*.
