So this might be nerfed since they implemented rubber banding in the game. You where able to do this in beta by just editing your values in cheat engine. Its was simple to do, someone needs to try setting the values just a little above normal and see if you are still rubberbanded back.

For those unaware of cheat engine here is a great guide on it.
Step 1:

Image
Open the program you want to cheat, for my example I am using firefox to download a rapidshare file faster.

Step 2:

Image
Open Cheat Engine.
Then press the button in the top left.

Step 3:

Image
Find the program you are going to cheat on the list (for my firefox.exe)
Press OK.

Step 4:

Image
Check Enable Speed Hack.

Step 5:

Image
Enter a number for the number of times faster you want the program to run.
Press Set Speed.

Step 6:

Enjoy the program running faster.

If you've been through the Cheat Engine tutorials, it's much better to scan for the memory address that contains your speed value and modify it directly.

Speed is a FLOAT value.
  • The default run speed is 9.1875.
  • The default walk speed is 2.5.
The key binding to toggle walk/run is not defined in GW2 until you set it. (go into the options) This will allow you to easily scan for a known value you can control and find the address for your speed.

You should use Cheat Engine to pointer scan for the speed address found and add a good pointer to it. (Lots of guidance on the CE forums.)

I haven't observed any noticeable rubber-banding using this method, but then I don't crank my speed more than 25% above whatever my current unmodified value is.

Working fine as of last night.

One of the nicest things about directly modifying your speed value and locking it is not slowing down and maintaining a constant speed when you've entered combat or been crippled.

When you've used the speed hack slider, you'll still be affected by alterations to your speed by whatever + or - percentage, including -100%. (root)

I've been speed hacking daily with no issues, although I'm very careful to to use restraint and turn it off when appropriate.
  • Never more than 25% increase in speed.
  • OFF in PvP.
  • OFF when running in tandem alongside another player.
  • OFF when visually movement impaired. (e.g. Chilled / Poly-morphed)
I've also been teleporting daily with no issues.

With that said, it's just a matter of time before they patch and start detecting this server-side. The ban-wave will come, just as it did in Rift and other prior MMO's for this exact same exploit.

Yea the old speedhack and teleport stuff tends to be stopped much sooner it seemed in the past. IE the first 2 weeks usually.
