factions pre order....what is up with this : GW Discussion

I was in BB yesterday and the person (whooo a manager) said that the preorder they sell for $10 had nothing to do with factions game sale and the game was going to be $59..with NO discount or anything for the $10 pre sale.
SO wtf is the pre order and why buy one ?

If you preorder one you can get extra items like stickers a mouse pad a day calender or stuff like that. '.'

59 bucks for an expansion, sounds pretty steep to me >.>

i pre-ordeered on the web and got the pre-oreder box already which gave me the cvodes ffor this weekend and iw ill ge the game around the release.

its not an expansion like WoW thought its a 1 off payment and you get add on emotes to your assassin and ritualist dances.

The manager probably had just come off of his crack break. The $10 pre-sale box is the same as any other pre-sale package. It holds a copy of the game for you day of release and is a $10 credit towards the price of the game. ArenaNet has announced that the cost of Factions will be $49, and it is not an expansion. It is a stand alone game that interacts with the original Guild Wars.
