Farming Black Dye : GW Submissions

Apparently it doesn't work anymore.. I'm assuming they nerfed it when they changed the traders August 11 I think).

Whatever, call it BS if you like.. It worked at one point. Last time I ran it was about 2 weeks ago and it worked fine.. Of course dye price was high (before the updated traders/economy thing) then, so maybe what the last guys post says has some truth to it.

To get premium membership, you'lll need to share the whole shabamo.

DO NOT make a post that says "I have a good exploit but won't share it until I get premium" <----- that came straight from the rules page. If your "secrets" are good enough youll get premium, so telling us would be a lot more effective.

Yep. I'll give you three days to post the rest of the info or I'm locking it. Because this is pretty well known that dye drops are better pre-searing.

He's updated the information about the dyes, can we get some people to confirm this?

I tried the bandits and killed about 50-70 of them and only got one red dye. Will try the gargoyles later tonight

I tried the gargoyles. I killed all the gargolyes i could find (about eleventy billion) and got lots of singed gargoyle skulls and scales, lots of crappy weapons, and an STD but not a single dye. I only tried it once but i might try it again tommorow

I tested the gargoyles and either HE IS LUCKY AS HELL or its BS, and I choose BS. I ran the gargoyles THREE times killed about 75-100 per run and got ONE YELLOW DYE. Damn waste of my time it was. LOCK IT

ill just call BS - luck on it anyway.

if you want to find dyes id suggest trying nolani (when the dye prices are relatively high).

i find that whenever dye prices are high, area's that are usually meant for low levels have a higher dye drop.

i say nolani only because in the mission at the gate about 25-30 grawl all gather together to rush through the gate once you open it. any caster can make these guys mince meat in a matter of seconds. even with a warrior it doesnt take too long.

each time i do this i always get at least a purple armor or weapon (usually armor and its usually just a minor rune but still thats better than nothing).

right before the stupid traders got nerfed (when black dye in the US was an amazing 36k) my friend and i found about 5 silver dyes in 10-15 runs.

along with about 2 of every other color!



so my best suggesting for dye farming is :

1) wait till dye prices sky rocket or get relatively high
2) try the low level areas and kill the stuff that would normally kill a low level.
