Guide To Defeating Doppelganger As A Monk or Ranger : GW Submissions

alright, here's a guide for defeating your doppelganger as a monk or ranger:

MONK:

skills: retribution, healing breeze, protective spirit, balthasars aura, symbol of wrath

after you have gone to the mesa and right before the cutscene cast retribution and protective spirit on yourself. then, as soon as the cutscene is over, just keep protective spirit and healing breeze up, but do NOT attack your doppelganger with your staff. instead, wait until his balthasars aura and symbol of wrath have been used, run right up to him and cast them. like this the doppelganger should be dead within a couple seconds.


RANGER:

skills: all you need for this is bow attack skills that deal damage

what you want to do here is walk right up to your doppelganger so he takes out his chaos axe, meaning he cant use his bow skills. you will be able to deal considerable amounts of damage compared to him, so he should be dead within 20 seconds

Works I guess, but we need more Info, its all about the player, its best that you tell about all situations, not just the ones that you experianced. Nice guide though.

Agreed over here, but this is too easily available on fansite forums and etc, im gonna say a nay, leaving it open though (congrats on the promo lethal)

The way i beat the doppelganger as a monk is i took nothin but smiting attacks with me and killed him that way. You need to get close so he uses his axe and just keep up the smiting. Max out the smiting to do as much dmg as possable. I killed him in 30 sec this way. Also witha ranger take nothing but spirits with you and get close. He will cast all of the spirits and by the time he is on his last one he will be dead. That was the easiest way i beat him. I was lvl 16 with both of my char when i beat him.
