crafting on alts : Guild Wars 2 Discussions

Just wanted to double check.

I got some alts that I want to level up. I figure i'd use crafting, then to waste the levels on my 80 (I know you need the skill points still). I dont believe i'll have the time/want to do a legendary, but i'm reading you can just craft to 400 on an ALT, and the items can be swapped between your characters. Is that right? I think the only thing I read that could be a problem was the karma recipes that required to be ink higher level zones - which shouldn't be a problem since my goal is to level up my alts.

any drawbacks other then that, and having to swap items between my characters? Thought i'd check before I started.

Nope, no problems at all, you can buy the karma recipes on your main and transfer them to your alts. Two crafts to max level got my alts to mid 20s

only did cooking on my ranger...was going to do the leather...but rather use those levels on my guardian i'm trying to get to 80

Each craft to max level will get you around 10+ levels.

On my new character im 37, mastered 3 crafts so far and have never left his main city.
