Best Engineer Runes by FAR (video included) : Guild Wars 2 Guides

I was theory crafting with some buddies last night, and found an AMAZING combination of Runes with the Engineer. The rune used is the Superior Rune of the Adventurer (50 power, 183 condition damage, and a full endurance restore upon using a healing skill (10 second cooldown)). Here is why this is the best Engineer runes: just switching to your Med Kit works as using a healing skill! This means that every 10 seconds you get a free extra two dodges. Combine this with Elixir R (already used in plenty of PvP builds) and you can get 6 consecutive dodges! Not only this, but several seconds after your 6th dodge you will have enough endurance for a 7th dodge and the cooldown on the Runes will be done, so you reactivate your medkit and you are at 9 dodges in 10~ seconds. This is by farrrrr the best runeset that I've seen for Engineers. The ability to build glass cannon with this amount of dodges makes for an amazing combination. The power/condition on these runes fits the bill perfectly for that, with bomb builds, grenade builds, pistol builds, etc. Here's a short video I made detailing and showing this Rune set in effect: http://www.twitch.tv/rolodecks/b/334491375

This has been nerfed.

Now only 50% endurance is restored by the Superior Rune of the Adventurer.

It's difficult to argue one extra dodge every 10 seconds is worth giving up the DPS advantages other runes have to offer.
