Leveling your pets guide : Hero Online Submissions

The Beginning will be a little lame... but there are some ppl that doesn't now that what i will write below

First of all, there are 2 kinds of pets. Combat and Mount pets.

Combat pets will help you attack the mob, but still the mob can hit you. There are such combat pets like black wolfs, great tigers, bears, red hawks. Their XP gains:

- depending on how many hits THEY do on monsters (They can't miss). So the best way to raise combat pet is to leave them alone killing mobs (even wild boars) and your job is to cure its HP so it won't die. It is kind of boring, although it's the best way.

- every pet gains 1 xp per 3 min (pet must be put out). So if you don't want to fight then you can go AFK and/or wait ages for lvl up and you must feed it.

I would prefer the first option if i were you



Ok. Now for the second type... The mount pets. These animals will help you by taking hits from mobs. I really suggest that bow type characters forget about these pets in the begining. They REALLY slow attack (even manually). So it's a pain in the... head for archers. For other characters the speed attack is the same. Another flaw in these animals is that you can't use any skills. To the mount pets we accept horses (used by all jobs), reindeer (hunter), flying lion (warrior), great wolf (assasin) and snow tiger (physician). In my opinion the best mount type is horse (the easiest to raise, very good for PvE). Other are veeeeeeeeeeery hard to train but they are also good. They gein XP:

- depending on how many hits YOU do on monsters. If you attack 3 monsters at a time, it's hit times 3. Thus the best characters to raise the mount type pets are with rods.

- every pet gains 1 xp per 3 min (pet must be put out). The same as combat pet.

Now little about using pets in PvP.

DON'T use mount pet. Although, it will take normal hits, but YOU will take skill attack hits!!! Riding on in while having a PvP battle is a suicide.
The best type in PvP are for sure combat pets. And a well raised combat pet is a killing machine.

Hmmmm... yes it's very good guide there, but there is nothing about using pets in PvP.
