Where does one look to learn the basics of writing scripts?

How/where did you get started?

Well i asked some of our more advanced pros. And if you know nothing they said go with the Microsoft website for vbscript to start making small apps then move on up.

yeah vbscript sounds right to start with, i remember writing simple scripts with it. Although i believe you can do alot of advanced stuff with it i think it has it's limits.
I'm supposed to learn it in school next year i think, well at least 1 particular script at least
