I NEED MAJOR HELP! : Legacy General & Troubleshooting

I have read all these things about what to do how to get scripts working and all this crap...but nothing i seem to do works...where do i download the scripts to?...do i need to install them?...i think im a complete idiot or somthing but i have no clue what to do i need a walk through on what to do i have read some other ones but the dont make any sense please HELP ME OUT!!
