The solution is simple. Run Lin2Rich and select "Run Game" twice. Two instances of L2 will start. I have an Athlon XP Barton 2500+ and a gig of pc3200 Corsair DDR RAM (dual channel) and I can run two instances of L2 pretty well. What you can do is turn off the Texture Filter in L2's video options and you will be able to run the game very smoothly.

I tried logging onto the same account twice with near exact timing and it simply wouldn't work. But I connected simultaneously on two different accounts and it worked fine.
