well. i just lost about 2 mil worth of lineage items. great...

From everything i dld and can gather, its not from l2rich, or the .ini files for chron 1 i got from tault.

THE only thing i can imagine is an .ini file i dld earlier yesterday, before tault had theirs up. It claimed to run window mode.

I tried it, it did run window mode, but when i selected the servers i only had one server to select, bartz and i couldnt even join it.

I never thought about it till just now. I logged on my char, was botting, my bot was closed. I figured, wtf i died? oh well... I log in, i was botting near de village, now i am in giran toatlly naked.

After a little consideration, i decided it wasnt a gm. And, thinking about it i am pretty sure what happend.

That .ini i dld earlier, it must have contained some code that submitted my login information to their own server. The server on the list was probably theirs and when i tried to join, sent my account info to them. I guess they have the packet encryption cracked and found out my account info like that.

BE VERY careful when you guys test this stuff. I had no idea anything like this would happen from a .ini. I have nortan running 24/7 always updated and because the .ini was encrypted, or acted normally like the game, im guessing thats why it didnt catch anything.

If you try something, and it dosnt work change your !@#$%^* passwords asap and delete that file. hopefully you guys wont make the same mistake..

no, the tault.com stuff is ok. i got mine from a post on l2orphus.com earlier. Anyone who complains about seeing just one server, Bartz, is !@#$%^*.

I can't change my in game password at all right now. NCSoft is one !@#$%^* !@#$%^* company, i checked ALL of their help, they never mention changing your pws as a helpful provetion to hacking, so i could never find out how. I finally read a post about how pws changing was temporarly disabled or some !@#$%^*.

What a !@#$%^* system, i can't do anything but sit here while my !@#$%^* gets hacked.

Norton is basically a lower standard anti-virus which happens to offer a firewall.. I wouldn't reccomend norton to anyone.

Mcafee is lightyears ahead, in terms of anti-virus.

and for my personal preferance, I use blackice firewall, which is just amazing.

check out mcafee n blackice, you may like it
