well im gonna call and see. I think they would give me another copy not store credit... and it would look suspicious if i went into ebgames and said it wasnt a valid cd key and bought ut2k4 instead of a trade of the same game....

dat is why you just why u get the same game and sell it on ebay or to one of ur friends... lol

buy the game and return it and say it won't run on ur computer, then they will return it won't they?

If its open they wont honor it. Best thing to do is say it said CD Key in use.

ya in electronic boutique it usually doesnt work if u say it doesnt work on computer...

but would u be able to pull it off in big stores like walmart?

iam just learning combinatronics and probabily in school right now... i shall calculate the probablity of u getting the correct serial from a random generator

there r 26 letters and 10 numbers so 36 in total:
(26 P 1 x 10 P 19 / 36 P 20) + (26 P 2 x 10 P 18 / 36 P 20) + (26 P 3 x 10 P 17 / 36 P 2) and so on. if i write down all the cases with say 1 letter 19 numbers, 2 letters 18 numbers, 3 letters 17 numbers, etc. add all the probabilty together (i did on my graphing calculator) u'r chance of getting a correct cd key is less than winning the lottery 6/49. ur MUCH more likey to win 100 million dollars from lottery than randomly guessing for the correct cd key.

ofcourse the above sample only takes in considerating that there is only 1 valid cd key, but even if there is 10 thousand cd keys, ur chance of guessing the correct one is still MUCH less than winning the lottery.... think of how hard it is to win the lottery.. compare to this

ok, let me make this easier

lets say IF the cd key MUST contain 10 letters and 10 numbers (this increases the chance of u getting the right one because a condition is set, u dun have to consider the cases where there is 9 letters and 11 cd keys, etc. in those cases its even harder)

so:
26 P 10 x 10 P 10 / 36 P 20 = 3.9 x 10 ^ -9

chance of winning 6 49 is 1 / 49 C 6 = 7.15 x 10 ^ -8

although the difference between the power is only 1, but the actual probabily is like SO much more less than winning lottery....

and the above example i dindt even take in consideration of different numbers of letters and numbers
